Arms of our Sovereign Order PURPOSE & ACTIVITIES Today, the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, remains as it has been through the centuries, an ecumenical Christian organization whose members have a strong sense of its history and hospitaller traditions, believe in the value of supporting local charities serving the sick and the poor, and enjoy the comradeship of like-minded and committed people. There is a special bond and working relationship not only among the Commanderies of the Priory of the Eastern United States, but with those of the Priory of the Western United States, as well as Priories in Canada and Europe. Our members raise money through a variety of activities including contributing personal gifts. The Commanderies of the Priory of the Eastern United States have contributed over $1.5 million to agencies and assisted in facilitating over an additional million in financial aid and services.
