Arms of our Sovereign Order PURPOSE & ACTIVITIES Today, the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller, remains as it has been through the centuries, an ecumenical Christian organization whose members have a strong sense of its history and hospitaller traditions, who believe in the value of supporting local charities, and who enjoy the comradeship of like-minded and committed people. There is a special bond and working relationship not only among the Commanderies of the Priory of the Eastern United States but with those of the Priory of the Western United States, as well as Priories in Canada and Europe. Our members raise money through a variety of activities as well as contributing their own gifts. During the past five years, the Commanderies of the Priory of the Eastern United States have contributed over $1.2 million to agencies and assisted in facilitating over an additional million in financial aid and services.
